Note that the 3/29/1905 Sun article mis-identifies the venue as Carnegie Lyceum, which was hosting a different event at the same time. According to the articles, a highlight of the event was the appearance of ""Bronco Charlie," until recently a star rider of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show". The celebration also featured a wedding ceremony between Ensign Robert Kingston and Ensign Charlotte Bluher, officiated by Evangeline Booth. A collection raised $10,000 for the erection of a Salvation Army settlement house in the Cherry Hill district.
